Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 Review

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is the final chapter for this team of Guardians.

I hesitated to review this one initially as I had a bad first watch. I came out of it pretty disappointed and didn't get what I really expected out of the movie.

Went to the theater again to give it a rewatch hoping that it really just was a bad watch, and thank god it was. I don't know how I did not love this movie. I can't stop think about this movie, and its been nearly ten hours since I rewatched it.

Every moment, every joke, every song, had me in tears. This may be the first movie that has had my eyes watering throughout the entire movie because I realized that this is the last time we are ever gonna see all these characters together as a team. Not a spoiler to say that as its in all the marketing, but this is truly the bands final tour and as soon as I realized this movie had me in tears.

James Gunn managed to turn this C -list group of characters and turn them into a family we all became part of while watching these movies. This movie actively lets you become apart of its story by becoming family to these characters. How special is that?

Really I have nothing but praise and I'm getting emotional just writing this as I can't help but think of all the ways the Guardians movies influenced my life and love for cinema. I never thought in a million years a movie about a talking raccoon, a walking tree, a stupid gray guy, a bug lady, a cyborg, and a normal guy would have as much of an affect on me as it did.

This movie is just everything to me, its third act, its villain, its family, this movie makes you feel every emotion capable of producing.

I'm trying to put into words how much this means to me, but as I'm writing I'm realizing its just not something I can put into words.

All I can say is damnit James Gunn, you did it you absolute legend. You've not only created a perfect trilogy, you've created a family audiences around the world have become apart of, you've brought to life a random and silly team of heroes no one has ever heard of, you did everything right.

Thank you.

Nothing else I can put into words.
